I have this goal that, one day, I will truly be a full-time, working artist. Meaning, one day I will be that someone who actually spends the majority of her day working on her art - and who actually suceeds at deriving a good living from said art.
Of the last five years that I have been exploring different jewelry forms and ideas, 2007 was the best year. I started solidifying a "look" that I'm happy with. I got some attention from outside my immediate circle. And I actually netted a profit.
So I made a decision that 2008 would be my big launch year. The year that I take all these jumbled ideas in my head and do something with them. The year that I get picked up by some brick and mortar stores. The year that I start turning that goal into a reality.
For a long time, I had a small journal on my business website. But, it was hard to update, and just never felt like the right place to delve into some of the issues that crop up. So, I thought I would turn to Blogger, and start journaling here. Not only about new jewelry designs and upcoming events, but also about what goes into launching myself as a well-known art jewelry maker.
So, let's start with a little bit about me and my work...

What a wonderful video on you and your work! I found you through one of your pieces being featured on Etsy's homepage and I'm so glad I did! Your art jewelry is amazing! I currently live in Oregon and have had a love autumn leaves for many years....autumn has been my favorite season since I was a child.
I've "hearted" you on Etsy and will be bookmarking your blog so I can come back again and see what you've been up to. Many blessings to you! :)
